Kim has also been in the local groups ZoKi, Parlicium, and has been playing in the area in multiple other bands since she was 14.

She first picked up a guitar at age 10 and has been singing since age 4.

She was a Marketing Specialist at Double Edge Theatre, Worked at Downtown Sounds Workers Co-op, was an Intern at Laudable Productions and the Institute for the Musical Arts, and is now Core Staff at North Star: Self-Directed Learning for Teens & an Apprentice at Healy Guitars. Kim is an alum of North Star, and the Institute for the Musical Arts’ summer programs as well.

After attending Marlboro College and the pandemic-merged Marlboro Institute at Emerson College, she left school to pursue music with the progressive rock band Sunset Mission, where she plays guitar, sings and spearheads business operations. The band has grown into an 8-piece lineup and plans to tour across the country and beyond.

The band is a group where music is always being made and remade over the course of months, and sometimes years to be released and played live. This kind of dedication has morphed into the values of Kim's practices and new work on the way.

Work Samples

Vocals & Slide Guitar

Eternal Flight is a 16-minute long, pandemic-born project. It took about a year to record and was written mostly by Colin Stevens and Dana Goodwin over Zoom, brought to life in the studio, and then learned to perform in the Sunset Mission Live Lineup.

Vocals & Guitar

ZoKi’s debut album. Upon its release, the three of us gigged for a couple years in the Western MA area. It’s a project of the past I hold close to my heart. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Frederic Rigollaud of Frecordings.

Vocals

This is a Sunset Mission song crafted from Nick Tessier’s poem about a resilient willow tree. It is one of the first singles destined to go onto SM’s new album, and my vocals were recorded during my first couple of weeks at Marlboro College when I “met the band”. I also play guitar in the Live Lineup.
